The Instrumentation & Controls Technician will support the Automation Department goal of providing consistent, cost effective, efficient and reliable monitoring and maintenance services for University building automation systems. The incumbent will install, troubleshoot and repair electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment and controls that comprise and support the University's building automation systems. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with building/system automation controls, mechanical systems or related technical fields. LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair and maintenance of U.Va.'s buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties. The Logistics Supervisor serves as a warehouse leader and provides direct guidance to other employees in the warehouse work group. The incumbent supports the operations of the warehouse through a variety of activities, including inventory management and interacting directly with suppliers and customers to arrange deliveries. The Logistics Supervisor performs various manual labor and clerical duties and data entry in support of the receiving, storage, processing and distribution of maintenance and construction materials. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of four years progressively responsible experience in managing inventory or working in a storage facility, warehouse or related area, as well as a minimum of two years previous supervisory experience with direct reports is required. A valid Driver’s license is also required. A Forklift Operator Certification is required or the ability to obtain within six months.
